Unlike macadamia nuts, almonds are not directly toxic to pets. However, they are very high in fat (which can cause pancreatitis), difficult to digest, and a serious choking hazard. Salted almonds add dangerous sodium. While one or two accidentally eaten almonds probably won't cause harm, they should not be intentionally fed.
